VISION
Every human being living in the developed and developing world has to be offered the possibility to easily contribute to solving crucial problems, as only the sum of all actions, small and large, will make a difference.
Today humans have the skills to help define new solutions through the synergy of collective and artificial intelligence, communication, data analysis, facilitation and academic knowledge. Today is the perfect time for HODAI.

Mission
Project HODAI is the core project of the HODAI Foundation. Its aim is to create the world’s most visible and accessible “Hub Of Data And Initiatives” related to crucial problems humanity is facing today. Its mission is to accelerate their resolution through the research and summarization of information and through the emergence of innovative solutions. Project HODAI will finally boost the emergence of a new economy of solving.
MOTIVATIONMore and more scientists, sociologists and philosophers are consistently pointing to the fact that we are at a crucial point in the history of humanity : our species will either survive or collapse in the centuries to come.
Overpopulation, climate change, resources depletion, rising social and economic inequality and migratory fluxes are already provoking new social tensions and risks. The combination of these and other important problems (e.g. artificial intelligence risks or global war threats) might soon become very challenging for all of us. Just mitigating the negative effects of these problems will not be enough. All the while efficiently implementing existing solutions, we also need, through global involvement, to look for what more or better can be done. Humanity has to take now full responsibility for managing to succeed, or to fail. Governments, NGOs and other groups and individuals are already working on many of these problems, even if there is still much left to do. At HODAI we are convinced that the simple act of making the information accessible to and understandable for all will already amplify results and increase chances of success. We need to capitalize on what has already been done, use it and together cultivate new ideas. |
APPROACH
To achieve this goal, HODAI will:
HODAI wants to answer the following questions: - What has to be addressed now, with both a short and long term vision? - What has been done already that can be used for problem solving? - What actions can we already implement individually and collectively? - How can we address problems from new perspectives? |
THE HODAI NAMEH.O.D.A.I. is an acronym for Hub Of Data And Initiatives.
HODAI is a Japanese word (補題) that means “lemma”. In mathematics, lemma is a small proof and a stepping stone in proving a theorem. It is a small hypothesis which is proven and used to demonstrate a principal proposition. In Japanese HODAI can also mean “subtitle”, an explanatory or alternate title. The simple act of sharing existing data and simplifying the message will make the information more usable and will create a common ground for the continuous and collaborative emergence of other innovative and efficient solutions. In current language, HODAI also means “all you can”. Through HODAI we want to help create an efficient paradigm for the resolution of crucial problems. All we can. |
